Killing environmental empiricism

Our military satellite system is facing similar crises of strategic non-direction as well, but this Associated Press piece details how the United States is letting its satellite system for monitoring the global environment degrade. Death by neglect is always odious. What we can't see can't hurt us, I suppose.
