Hm. His pursuers must have been closing in. Tough guys like him NEVER give up - unless it's to save their own skins from a rioting mob.
Sure would be nice to see THAT one swing.

The denials seem ironclad, but I hope it was a ploy of some sort: see who calls or scurries where, maybe?
